stripped back design with hedgerow cow parsley

In this week’s Tutorial, I take you through the steps to create a beautifully simple, stripped back arrangement, using a grouping of glass vases and stems of hedgerow and woodland cow parsley. It’s such a straightforward design, but there are a few key steps that make it a really effective design. In our next Newsletter, I include a few conditioning tips specifically for Cow Parsley (sign up below).

INGREDIENTS & TOOLS
Cow parsley - approximately 50 stems
A collection of glass bottles (these could also be old food/drink bottles)
Scissors
Fresh water

N.B. be careful if you are foraging for Cow Parsley: it looks similar to Common and Giant Hogweed, but unlike Cow Parsley, they are both poisonous to touch. Cow Parsley can be identified by its delicateness and feathery petals. Common and Giant Hogwood have denser leaves and once grown, are much larger. You can read more online at the WOODLAND TRUST (treat both Common and Giant Hogweed with the same avoidance).
