Hi, I'm Philippa.

When your creative business focuses on what you do best and you charge properly, you’ll create a role you love ... that's exactly what I help you with!

Links for Creative Business Owners

It’s rare that I pull back the curtain completely, but today felt like the right time. Over the past several months, I’ve been developing something I’m genuinely excited about – a comprehensive system to help creative business owners build around their exceptional strengths. This isn’t just another programme announcement; it’s the culmination of everything I’ve learned from running my own creative businesses and supporting hundreds of others as they simplify and grow.

Why This Matters Now

Last week, we explored the concept of your unique strengths – those natural abilities that feel almost too simple to value but actually represent your greatest business assets. The response to that episode was overwhelming, with so many of you messaging about the strengths you’ve been overlooking in your own work.

What became abundantly clear through those conversations is something I’ve observed repeatedly: many talented creative entrepreneurs are running businesses that aren’t fully aligned with what they naturally do best. Instead, they’re following industry “shoulds” – pricing structures, service offerings, and business models that work for others but create constant friction for them.

When your business isn’t built around your natural strengths, everything feels harder than it should. You work long hours but struggle to see proportional results. You resist charging what you’re worth because deep down, you’re not fully confident in your unique value. You look to others for validation rather than trusting your own expertise.

This misalignment isn’t just exhausting – it’s also preventing you from building something truly exceptional.

The Steps That Led Here

I know this journey intimately because I’ve lived it. When I built my first creative business, I started by trying to replicate what established businesses in my industry were doing. I had no formal training, no industry connections, and certainly no family background in design. I’m dyslexic and struggled at school. But I had tremendous passion and a deep desire to create a business that would allow me to be present for our young family.

Everything changed when I finally got clear about my exceptional strengths – and just as importantly, what I wasn’t naturally good at. I streamlined my offerings, aligned them with what my ideal clients truly valued, and charged properly for the expertise I provided.

That’s how my business grew from our kitchen table to seven figures, creating flower designs for a royal wedding and working with some of the world’s most prestigious brands.

And I’ve witnessed this same transformation in hundreds of creative business owners I’ve had the privilege of working with. An interior designer who went from modest ambitions to being featured in Living Etc. and opening a permanent studio on Kings Road in London. A brand designer who transformed from constant undercharging to confidently working with ideal clients at rates that reflected her true value.

They always had this potential – it was simply waiting to be unlocked by aligning their businesses with their natural strengths.

A Three-Tiered Approach to Supporting Creative Businesses

With all this in mind, I’ve been developing a comprehensive support system to meet creative entrepreneurs at different stages and with different needs. There are three offerings that build on each other while also standing independently:

The Value Pop

Coming later this spring, this practical handbook is designed to be kept by your side, helping you navigate the most common challenges we encounter in running creative businesses.

This resource tackles the core beliefs that often hold creative business owners back – like the feeling that we need more external validation before we’ll be taken seriously, or the perfectionism that prevents us from sharing our work. It’s accessible and immediately actionable, allowing you to implement small but powerful changes that create momentum in your business.

The Bright Line

Building on the foundation of the handbook, this more comprehensive programme focuses specifically on recognising and charging properly for your most valuable strengths. Launching in early summer, it takes you through a complete step-by-step method from identifying your natural expertise to implementing value-based pricing confidently.

Structured around six key elements, this programme helps you recognise the extraordinary value in what comes naturally to you, understand why traditional pricing approaches consistently undervalue creative work, calculate prices based on value rather than time, and communicate your expertise in ways that feel comfortable and authentic.

The Colour Lab

Launching in autumn, this is my most comprehensive offering – an in-depth programme where we’ll work together closely. I’ll see your business firsthand, answer your questions, and guide you step-by-step to build a business that’s as good on the inside as it looks on the outside.

Built around six core frameworks (GATHER, UNFOLD, ALIGN, VALUE, NURTURE, and FLOURISH), this programme ensures you have the right foundations in place, refined offerings, connection with your ideal audience, and systems for organic growth.

What makes this particularly special is the community of like-minded creative business owners you’ll join. I’m very intentional about who participates, ensuring these groups are filled with supportive, thoughtful people who understand the unique challenges of creative entrepreneurship.

How This Approach Differs

I think it’s important to acknowledge that there are countless business programmes available. What makes this approach different?

Most business advice starts with strategies, tactics, or one-size-fits-all blueprints. But I’ve seen repeatedly that these approaches often fail creative entrepreneurs because they don’t account for how we naturally work and what makes our businesses unique.

Everything I’m creating starts with you – your natural strengths, your working style, your vision for success. We focus on alignment first, gaining complete clarity on what makes you exceptional before implementing practical strategies. When your business is built around what you naturally do best, growth becomes far more sustainable.

Here’s what previous participants have shared about this approach:

“Philippa’s methods have helped me untangle everything; she has given me clarity, confidence and a sense of calm in my business.” ANNA MOLLER, INTERIOR DESIGNER

“Philippa’s mentorship was exactly what we needed to take our business from muddling along to running smoothly and profitably. The step-by-step approach gave us a clear path that helped us organise virtually every aspect of our business.” JESS ROBERTS & KATIE STONE, FLOWER FARM & FLORIST

“I’ve gained confidence in my process and learned to trust it, even having the courage to refuse projects that didn’t fit my future plans. I’ve improved my proposal process, and feel more in control.”
VIRGINIE AVRILLON-DUNNE, LIGHTING DESIGNER

What connects these stories is that pivotal moment of recognising and leaning into exceptional strengths. That’s when everything shifted.

My Personal Commitment

I want to share something personal: I’m intensely ambitious for these programmes because I’m intensely ambitious for you. I genuinely believe in the power of creative entrepreneurs to build exceptional businesses when they recognise and leverage their natural strengths.

To ensure I deliver the absolute best resources possible, I’ve invested in my own development this year, working with a mentor who’s supporting me to in turn be able to offer the very best support to you that I can. I’m determined that everything I share with you is worth not just every penny but every minute of your time.

These programmes are the culmination of years of experience and insight – not theoretical concepts, but practical approaches that work in real creative businesses facing real challenges.

They’re my way of saying: you don’t have to figure it all out alone. There’s a clearer, more aligned path – one that builds on what already comes naturally to you rather than forcing you to become someone you’re not.

Your Next Step

If anything I’ve shared today resonates with you, I’d love for you to be part of this. Whether you’re drawn to the accessibility of the handbook, the focused transformation of The Bright Line, or the comprehensive support of The Colour Lab – I hope you feel there’s a place for you.

These programmes are specifically designed for those who already have an existing creative business (whether brand new or well-established). If you’d like to learn more or join the waitlist for any of these offerings, you can find more information here and join the waitlists.

I’m right there with you in all of this. I know exactly what it feels like to wonder if you’re good enough, to compare yourself to others, to feel overwhelmed by all the things you “should” be doing. I’ve doubted myself countless times, questioned whether my work matters, worried that I’m not qualified enough.

These programmes are created from having been there, made the mistakes, and found what actually works. And I genuinely believe that with the right support, you can build something exceptional too.

I’d love to hear your thoughts about these new offerings. Are there specific challenges in your creative business that you hope these programmes will address? Share your experience in the comments below or join the conversation over on Instagram.
